Motorola PR860 Batteries

Choose from a wide range of batteries with diverse chemistry and capacity alternatives to optimize performance and ensure your radio is ready whenever you need it. Premium nickel cadmium (NiCd) batteries provide a high number of charge/discharge cycles and are best suited for extreme temperature environments. Compact, lightweight lithium ion batteries offer extended duty cycles, providing more talk time per shift.

The Intelligent Motorola Portable Radio Energy System (impres) energy system demonstrates an optimal energy system solution, not only for 2-way radios, but the technology can be applied to a wide variety of portable products. It is a tri-chemistry (nickel-cadmium, nickel-metal hydride, lithium-ion), patented technology that was developed by our expert design team. The primary elements of the system are an impres compatible battery and an impres compatible adaptive charger. The system incorporates the following key features:

• Battery data storage in the battery
• "Smart" charger with adaptive reconditioning capability
• Structured priority communication protocol used between the battery and charger

Motorola impress batteries offer superior, long-lasting performance with minimal maintenance—and include a six-month extended capacity warranty when used with impres chargers. Can be charged, conditioned, and reconditioned without being removed from radio.

Motorola PR860 Carry Accessories

Durable leather or nylon carry cases keep your PR860 radio and battery securely in place while permitting audio to be heard clearly. Belt loop and nylon cases feature D rings that allow the case to be attached to a carrying strap. Swivel cases secure to a belt loop and allow the case to swing freely from side to side. The swivel latch system allows fast, easy radio/case removal by simply inverting the case and lifting it up from the belt loop.

Portable radio hangers slide over and hang from the door panel in a vehicle. The radio’s belt clip slides onto the hanger for convenient, easy mounting.

Chargers

Single and multi-unit tri-mode chargers charge batteries on or off the radio in one to three hours. “Revert to rapid” feature in maintenance mode keeps batteries fully charged even if left in charger for extended times.

Automatically customize operations to individual user charging habits, optimizing both impres and standard battery performance and dramatically reducing maintenance time. The Smart Energy System keeps batteries cooler so they can be left in the charger for extended periods. Batteries can be removed and replaced midway through the charging cycle, and charging picks up where it left off. Display models provide at-a-glance capacity and charge status information.

Conditioning Chargers

Extends and enhances battery life and operation, safely conditioning and charging NiCd and NiMH batteries in one to two hours. Units control heat buildup and let batteries safely remain on charger for extended periods of time. Instant fault detection feature quickly identifies batteries that won’t operate at peak performance.

Vehicular Adapters

Extends and enhances battery and select the optimum charging method while providing power for in-vehicle use. An antenna adapter allows automatic switching to an external vehicle-mounted antenna (sold separately) for extended range. Kits include all items needed to easily charge and operate two-way radios inside a vehicle.

Headsets and Accessories

Lightweight and ultra light headsets offer comfortable, extended wear use while providing high clarity and discreet communication in moderate noise environments.

 Temple transducers allow users to receive audio without covering the ear, crucial for workers who need unimpaired hearing of their external surroundings. In-line push-to-talk capabilities and a noise-canceling boom microphone provide added convenience and sound quality.

Medium-weight dual-muff headsets offer clear, crisp sound with the additional hearing protection essential for reliable, consistent two-way radio communication in noisy environments.
 

Microphone & In-Line PTT

The racing headset ensures both comfort and dependable audio quality in a wide variety of environments.
 

Heavy duty headsets include noise-canceling boom microphones and can be worn with or without a hardhat. The push-to-talk switch is located on the earcup.

Hardhat headsets mount easily to hardhats with slots and provide significant noise reduction in louder work environments. Tactical headband style headsets offer the high-clarity sound and added hearing protection featured in medium weight headsets. Harmful sounds are suppressed to safe levels, and low sounds are amplified up to five times. On/off volume control is included on earcups.

Microphones

Compact and water-resistant, remote speaker microphones allow users to talk without removing the radio from their belt, case, or charger. The coiled cord, push-to-talk switch, and clothing clip on the back cover offer added convenience.

Public safety speaker microphones are specially designed to help cancel ambient noise during transmission and include an antenna to provide increased coverage.

Ear Microphones and Accessories

Compact ear microphone systems pick up voice communications through bone vibrations in the ear canal. The miniature earpiece leaves the hands free and face un-obscured, making it ideal for rescue and hazard personnel. Professionals wearing breathing apparatus will find communicating with their masks as clear as without. The system also provides high speech clarity in noisy environments.

CommPort™ Integrated Microphone Receiver System

CommPort integrated microphone systems enable users to speak in a whisper and hear in a crowd. Using advanced voice processing technology, the CommPort system picks up sound waves as they cross the face, ensuring clear audio delivery to the miniature microphone atop the earpiece. A variety of push-to-talk options makes the CommPort ideal for diverse applications requiring covert or urgent communication in noisy environments.
